What Information We Collect From You?

Our Web server automatically recognizes your domain name. Our Web server does not recognize your e-mail address. We do not receive any personal information submitted to third party sites using the LiveAnalysis Service. LiveAnalysis does not collect or report any such information and we do not allow LiveAnalysis clients to deliver this information to us. Because we do not receive personal information from visitors to the LiveAnalysis Service clients' Web sites, we cannot associate, merge or link the anonymous information we do receive with the personal information of any Internet users.

You may request delivery of content, service, or merchandise to your e-mail address or an off-line destination, or you may elect our more personalized services. If so, you will be notified of the need to provide personal identifying information to us or to another company providing the content, service or merchandise. You may choose whether to request the services or utilize the services.

LiveAnalysis uses "cookies" to personalize visitor experience to the LiveAnalysis Client Web Site and to collect aggregate information about site usage by all of our users. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and many major Web sites use them to provide useful features for their customers. The LiveAnalysis cookie is a text file that our site transfers to your computer's hard drive for record keeping purposes. The cookie assigns a random, unique number to your computer. It does not contain information which would personally identify you. Our system collects "clickstream" information (data reporting the categories or sections on the LiveAnalysis Client Web Site that you have visited) along with the cookie information.

If you provide personal identifying information to us by using one of our services, we can connect that information with the data collected by our cookie so that such data will become personally identified.

Regarding IP Addresses
Every computer on the Internet is identified by a unique number called an IP address. Each time you connect to the Internet your machine is assigned an IP address. If you have a static IP address you get the same number each time you connect. If you have a dynamic IP address a number is assigned from a pool if addresses maintained by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) on a first-come basis. Thus you can get a different IP address each time you connect. IP addresses are not personally identifiable information and we do not have the ability to determine your identity based upon your IP address. Local area network (LAN) or cable modem users may permanently be assigned a specific IP address which is associated to a particular computer or other device connected to that network. Anytime you connect to a site on the Internet, the computers communicating with each other exchange IP addresses. IP addresses can reveal things like what part of the world you're connecting from, or which Internet Service Provider you are using, not who you are.

Regarding Our Methodology
Our method of counting makes use of what are commonly referred to as "1 x 1 transparent gifs." We uses clear gifs in order to count users and to recognize registered users by accessing the LiveAnalysis cookie. In general, any electronic image viewed as part of a Web page, including an ad banner, can act as a Web beacon. Web beacons are not used to access personally identifiable information; they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about a visitors use of a Web site. Our Web beacons collect only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the Web beacon resides. Our Web beacons are very small, but can be viewed in your browser by viewing the source code of that page. You will find Web Beacon's code just prior to the closing tag, located at the end of the Web page's source code.

4. Password Policy

Some LiveAnalysis Account Holders may not be aware that malicious users trying to gain unauthorized access into an account can employ a simple dictionary search to crack many passwords.

The security of passwords used with accounts held on the LiveAnalysis' system is a very important issue. LiveAnalysis uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connections with 128-bit encryption for certain transactions and confidential data to mitigate the risk of malicious hacking of usernames and passwords. Despite our best efforts to maintain security of data transfer, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted, and you do so at your own risk. With the advent of increasingly sophisticated password cracking programs, LiveAnalysis has instituted a rigorous Password Protocol for the Site Measurement Service set forth as items 1 to 3 below, and recommends adherence to the provisions of items 4 to 9 below, in order to maintain a minimum standard of account password security.

  1. Passwords must be between 6 and 20 characters long.
  2. Passwords should contain at least 2 different characters from each of the two character groups (Letters, Numbers).
  3. Your password should not contain any leading or trailing blanks.
  4. Do not use two consecutive identical characters.
  5. A password must not be based on anything connected with the individual who owns the account. This includes anything associated with a name or initials; job function; address or postcode; car registration plate etc.
  6. Other commonly used or easy to guess combinations must not be used, such as QWERTY, abc123, etc.
  7. Account passwords should not be used as passwords for other resources, including Internet chat rooms and any web sites that require registration
  8. Passwords should be changed annually.
  9. If the LiveAnalysis system prompts you for a password change - do not reuse the same password on more than three consecutive changes.

Allowed character set
There are two groups of characters that can be used in passwords:

  1. Letters. The letters a-z and A-Z. Please note that although passwords are case-sensitive, using both upper and lower case versions of the same letter within a password does not qualify as using 2 different letters.
  2. Numbers. The numbers 0-9.

Changing Passwords
You should change your password if:
  1. You know, or suspect, that someone else knows your password.
  2. Your password fails to comply with the current, or any future, password policy.
  3. Your password has not been changed in the last 12 months.
To change your password:
  1. Log in to your account using your current username and password
  2. Go to "Admin Details"
  3. Change both "Password" and "Confirm Password"
